Untold Stories

Immokalee has become quite a larger community over the past two hundred years. It went from having very little people to becoming the home of many diverse cultures. Immokalee has attracted people for different events such as the casino being built a long time ago and redone this year, the drag strip that has big events a couple times year, and the air boat rides at Lake Trafford Marina. Immokalee differs from Naples in ways that Naples is more built up, and there isn't any open land compared to Immokalee which is known for its agriculture and has lots of open land. The Immokalee area has one middle school and one high school, while Naples and Fort Myers consist of many middle and high schools. I believe that the Immokalee community is living by both, the New and the Old American dream, because some people in Immokalee have jobs, a house, family and a two car garage, which is the old American Dream, whereas others live in apartments and have kids, are divorced and have jobs. The community is growing because of Ave Maria, the college that is being built in Immokalee. Over the next few years I feel that the population and the of the size of the community is going to increase greatly.
